For nearly 66 years, Karen called Columbiana home, and her deep-rooted connection to the city was evident in every aspect of her life. As a devoted wife to her husband, Floyd, for nearly 47 years, a loving mother to six children, and a grandmother to eleven, Karen’s devotion to her family was unwavering. She was the heart and soul of her home, and her love extended beyond her family to the entire community she so dearly loved.

As a Ward 1 Councilperson, Karen Lilly dedicated many years of service to her community. Her commitment to advocacy and service was unmatched. She was a passionate champion for her district and worked tirelessly to make Columbiana a better place for everyone. Mayor Lisa Davis, who confirmed the loss with a heavy heart, said, “Karen was a champion for her district for many years. She advocated for her district at every opportunity. She was kind, fair, and had a huge personality that lit up every room she walked into.”
