With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Dawn McCoy, 52, of Delbarton, West Virginia, who passed away at Good Samaritan Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky. Dawn was born on October 29, 1973, in Williamson, West Virginia, to the late Rev. Homer Mayhew and Rita Kay Adkins Mayhew.
Dawn’s passing leaves a deep sense of loss among her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. She was preceded in death by her beloved father, Rev. Homer Mayhew, and her sister, Cindy Mayhew. Though their absence was deeply felt throughout her life, Dawn carried their memory with strength, love, and faith.
Those who knew Dawn will remember her as a woman of warmth, compassion, and unwavering kindness. She possessed a gentle spirit and a generous heart, always willing to offer encouragement, support, and a listening ear to those around her.
